Echoes in the Ice- The Search for Franklin’s Ship
Prince George, B.C. – Exploration Place in Prince George is home to a new exhibit that will be here until early October ” Echoes in the Ice – Finding Franklin’s Ship” shares the story of the ill fated search for the Northwest Passage .
“A significant part of our role as a regional museum is to bring national stories and exhibits to Northern BC,” said Tracy Calogheros, CEO The Exploration Place Museum + Science Centre, “Echoes in the Ice is one such story, forming a significant part of the historical tapestry of Canadian culture and lore. ”
The Franklin Expedition of 1845 vanished in the Arctic. The wrecks of the two ships HMS Terror and HMS Erebus only discovered last year.
The exhibition tells the story of the Franklin expedition with recent Parks Canada photographs of the HMS Terror, as well as photographs and videos from the discovery of HMS Erebus, artifacts and objects from the same period when the ships initially set sail, as well modern scientific objects used by scientist who continue to investigate the Arctic.

When are they going to stop wasting tax dollars looking for these ancient wrecks. They are old history.
Cheers
You are an ancient artifact yet the government still sends you a check every month. Waste of tax dollars?
They don’t care about our future, so might as well use it on this..
So let’s ignore our history? No thanks.
