Prince George, B.C. – The Cariboo Regional District has ordered residents living in the Clisbako area, southwest of Nazko, to leave their homes immediately.

The CRD says that due to immediate danger to life due to fire, the RCMP are enforcing the order in an area south of the Michelle Canyon Mountain West forest service road, an area covering a 5 km radius (map below).

Residents are being told to register at the Carson Campus of Lake City Secondary school.  Transportation is available by calling 1-866-759-4977.  They are also being advised to take critical items such as medicine, purse, wallet and keys if they are immediately available.  They should also take pets in kennels or on a leash.

Residents must leave the area immediately.
