Prince George, B.C. – The Cariboo Regional District’s Emergency Operations Centre has issued an Evacuation Alert for the Kluskus area west of Quesnel.

Because of the potential danger posed by wildfire the alert has been issued for the following:

-The area including Kushya Creek Reserve 7 and 12, Kluskus Reserve 1, Kloyaningli Reserve 2, Chief Morris Reserve 13, Bishop Bluffs Reserve 10, 6, 5,  Kluskus Reserve 14, Sunday man’s meadow Reserve 3, Kloyadingli Reserve 2, Yaladelassia Reserve 4, Upper Kluskus Lake 9 and all other private holdings.

The CRD says this recommendation is issued in relation to the only access to all identified areas having the potential to be impacted by wildfire within the next 2 to 3 days.

The alert is issued to prepare people to evacuate their premises or property should it become necessary.
