Information Session for South Cariboo Evacuees

Saturday, July 22, 2017 @ 9:25 AM

Prince George, B.C. – South Cariboo residents displaced by wildfires have been invited to an information meeting this afternoon.

The session will take place at 2 p.m.at the Charles Jago Northern Sport Centre at UNBC.

It will also be livestreamed on the CRD Facebook page at www.facebook.com/CRDEmergencyOperations.

No official word yet on what will be discussed though earlier this week Al Richmond, chair of the Cariboo Regional District, announced a re-entry plan for residents was in the works (see previous story here).

And later this afternoon, at 5 p.m., the City of Prince George will host another evacuee town hall at UNBC’s Canfor Theatre.

The BC Wildfire Service, CRD and the City of Prince George will be on hand to answer questions from evacuees. The event  can also be livestreamed.

Could this be an indication of governance from an unelected coalition government.

nothing new here with this editorial. The Citizen hs been pro Liberal Coalition for years and continues. We can look forward to stories involving the good things the governmentdoes to be buried in the back of the paper and anything the editor feels is wrong with the government will be displayed on the front page.
