All Aboard! The Little Prince is Back on Track

Thursday, July 27, 2017 @ 5:45 AM

Prince George, B.C. – After sitting idle for the past three weeks, the Little Prince will be back on track today.

It was voluntarily shut down due to an abundance of caution due to tinder dry conditions and a wood-fired steam boiler.

Lheidli T’eneh Memorial Park has also had some rain along with recent care from staff at the City of Prince George – hence the decision to reopen.

“As air quality in Prince George has improved, the dry conditions have been somewhat alleviated in the park,” says Tracy Calogheros, CEO of The Exploration Place. “I am confident that would not be putting the park at risk by operating the train.”

The Little Prince will resume operations beginning at noon today though should conditions worsen she says it will be shut down again.
