Highway 97 Fully Re-opened

Prince George, B.C. – Following sporadic closures in numerous locations over the past three weeks, Drive BC now advises that Highway 97 is back in full operation.
The entire highway is open in both directions between Prince George and Cache Creek for the first time since early July. However, traffic volumes could be heavy at times southbound from Prince George and northbound out of Cache Creek.
Visibility can be limited in some areas due to heavy smoke, and motorists are advised to watch for livestock that may attempt to cross the highway to avoid fire and smoke.
