Smoky Skies Bulletin Areas Expanded

Prince George, B.C. – Environment Canada has added new areas to the smoky skies bulletin for British Columbia.
The Bulkley Valley and the Lakes Northwest including Smithers as well as the Bulkley Valley and the Lakes Southwest, including Burns Lake, have been added to the bulletin that was last updated August 3rd.
(areas in grey are covered by the smoky skies bulletin)
The addition means nearly 75% of the province falls under the bulletin as smoke from wildfires drifts in and out of the regions.
The concentration of smoke will vary because of winds and fire behaviour.
The advisory remains in effect until further notice.

As I was driving home last night on highway 16 east, I saw what looked like fire and smoke on a hillside in the Dome Creek area. Any news on this?
Same here, we called and they said they were on it all ready! Getting close to home!!
The smell and haze from the pulp mill does not help either.
I think there is some guessing going on. Went for a walk the other morning the air quality was at 3 When I checked later it had gone up to 8. Vancouver had smoke so we were told but the air quality was at3.
Our air quality was at 4 this am didn’t look ant different then yesterdays 3.
Cheers
