Back to School Partnership Gives Kids Hope
Prince George, B.C. – New partnerships have been formed to help ensure all kids receive the school supplies they need to have a successful school year this year.
The Salvation Army has teamed up with the Prince George School District, Telus and once again Staples to make that happen.
“While our partnership with Staples remains a vital aspect of this important campaign, having the community support and partnership of School District 57 and Telus will make the processes of registration and distribution much smoother,” says Bill Glasgow, business manager for the Salvation Army.
To take advantage of the program families needing back-to-school assistance should contact The Salvation Army Curt Garland Community Support Centre at 250-564-4000.
Families can also register by contacting their school as backpacks will be given to each school the first week of class.
You can help by purchasing new school supplies while at Staples and dropping them in the Yellow School Bus displayed in the front door.
Financial donations can also be made either in person at the Salvation Army (3500, 18th Ave.) or by phone at 250-596-0037.
