Prince George, B.C. – A woman from Surrey has a date in Williams Lake Provincial Court on Monday in connection with a stolen vehicle and the recovery of illicit drugs.

Just before noon this past Friday Williams Lake RCMP were notified that a rental car, reported stolen from Edmonton, was in their town.  They found the vehicle at a Williams Lake business and arrested two people in connection with that discovery.

A search of the car turned up what police are calling a substantial amount of drugs believed to be methamphetamine, heroin and fentanyl.  They also say they recovered a significant amount of cash.

The woman from Surrey is being held in custody while the other person is not being charged and has been released.  Charges of possession of stolen property, auto theft, possession for the purpose of trafficking and five counts of breach of recognizance are being forwarded to Crown Counsel.
