Prince George, B.C. – Fraser Rodgers is the new play by play announcer for the Prince George Cougars.
The official word came just hours after it became public that Dan O’Connor was leaving the Cougars to take on a play by play job with the Vancouver Giants.
Fraser Rodgers joins the Cougars having just been awarded the BCHL’s Broadcaster of the year award. He has been doing the play by play for the Penticton Vees for the past 6 years, and left that post in June of this year.
“We’re thrilled to have Fraser join our staff and help us deliver our exciting product to our devoted fans” said General Manager, Todd Harkins. “His enthusiasm and dedication is evident and I think he will do a tremendous job as our new play-by-play voice. Our hope was to find an experienced, eager professional and we believe we’ve found that in Fraser.”

Gotta admit change is good, Dan O’Connor was beyond annoying and an over-the-top homer.
