Changes to Transit Start Tomorrow
Prince George, B.C.- Tomorrow, those who use public Transit in Prince George will see some changes to the schedule, and a new route.
Bus service will be expanded on the weekends. Sunday service will start an hour earlier and end an hour later. Bus service on Saturday will be expanded including a 30 minute service between 10 am and 5 pm on routes 15 UNBC/15th, 88 Westgate and 89 Hart.
As part of its fall service expansion, the Prince George Transit System will introduce route 10 Spruceland Connector, which will run between the Spruceland Exchange and downtown.
To improve efficiency in the Heritage area, route 1 Heritage/10th, will now serve the neighbourhood in both directions (clockwise and counter-clockwise), running every 30 minutes at peak times and every 60 minutes at other times. This will allow route 11 Heritage/10th to be discontinued to avoid redundancy.
In addition to these changes, route 15 UNBC/15th will add a morning trip on weekdays to make it easier to get to the university by 7 a.m.
Customers will also see minor changes to routes 46/47 Queensway, 88 Westgate and 89 Hart.
Buses will continue to provide Sunday-level service on Thanksgiving, Remembrance Day, Boxing Day and Family Day, with no service on Christmas or New Year’s day.
