Prince George BC – The “BurgersToBeatMS” event brought out plenty of classic vehicles to the Westgate location of A&W in Prince George this evening, all for a good cause.
Brent Martindale is the area manager for A & W and is proud of the annual effort “Last year, at this location in Westgate we did $71 hundred, and we were one of the top stores in B.C. The year before was close to $10 thousand and we were top ten Canada.”
The Cruisin’ Classics car club in Prince George plays a key role in the effort, bringing some fine vehicles and their participation is one of the reasons why the campaign is so successful in Prince George “We couldn’t do it without them” says Martindale, “They bring the cars, and people come to see the cars, and then they grab a burger.”
A&W has been raising funds for MS research, programs and support for those living with M.S. for nearly a decade. Nationally, A&W has raised $9 million dollars for the cause “It’s been a great run. I love it” says Martindale.
$2 dollars from the sale of every teen burger goes towards the cause, and patrons were also able to top up their bill by $1, $2 or $5 dollar donations.
