Emergency Social Services Centre On the Move…..Again
Prince George, B.C.- Once again, the Emergency Social Services centre to assist those forced from their homes in the Cariboo, will be moving to another location.
As of Monday, the support services will be available through the Service Centre at City Hall.
The hours will be changed as well, operating from 8:30 in the morning to 5:30 pm Monday to Friday.
Initially located at CNC during the height of the evacuations, the Emergency Social Services Centre moved to the Civic Centre following the rescinding of the evacuation order for the residents of Williams Lake.
At the peak of the crisis, the centre registered 10,700 people. It is now estimated there are fewer than 20 evacuees remaining in the City who need Emergency Social Services.
