Kelowna, B.C. –  The BC Wildfire Service says the Philpott Road fire  east of Kelowna is  20% contained.

Yesterday, some of the residents  of the Joe Rich area  were allowed to return to their  homes,although they remain under evacuation alert.  Another 200 properties  are still under evacuation order, affecting about 600 people.
