Prince George, B.C. – The City of Prince George has  outlined a number of  opportunities for  members of the community to learn more about the proposed  new Four Seasons Pool and Fire Hall #1 in advance of the  referendum that is set for October 28th.

There will be  an open house  at  the  current locations of the  facilities,  and the proposed new sites.

Fire Hall #1  An open house will be held at the current and proposed sites of Fire Hall #1 on Saturday, September 16 from 9:00am to noon (current site at 7th and Dominion) and at the proposed site on Massey Drive (next to the Northern BC YMCA) near the intersection with Carney Street from 1:00pm until 4:00pm. City officials will be stationed at a white tent on-site.

Four Seasons Leisure Pool – An open house will be held at the current site of the Four Seasons Leisure Pool at 775 Dominion Street on Wednesday, October 18 from 4:30pm to 8:00pm.

There will also be two Digital Town Halls   one at 6pm on September 19th  on the  Fire Hall #1 project,   then  6 pm on the 20th  for the Four Seasons Pool  project. Both will be held in Council chambers, and  will be  webcast  live  on the City’s website, and  the City’s facebook page.   Members of the media will be on hand  as a ‘panel’ that will ask questions  about the projects.  If you have a question about either of the projects  you would like to have answered,  email them  to  elaine@250news.com and  they will be posed for you.

Residents can also attend in person.

The City continues to reach out to community organizations, groups, and clubs that may be interested in learning more about the upcoming referendum directly from City officials. Interested group organizers can fill out a form on the City’s website or contact Dyra Pridham at dyra.pridham@princegeorge.ca |250-561-7691 to arrange a presentation.
