Prince George, B.C. – The 8th annual International Student Welcome will be taking place  on Wednesday the  20th.

The   two hour event  which starts at 3pm on the  grounds in front of City Hall,  welcomes  the  international students who are attending CNC and  UNBC .

The event  provides an opportunity  for students  to  learn about municipal politics,  more about the city  and what it has to offer.

“International students do bring a positive impact on the  provincial economy and that translates for the local economy as well”  says Anne Harris, International Education Operations Manager.

Not only do they contribute to the economy,  they also  contribute to the diversity of the community says Harris. “There is huge value to having International Students in the community.”
