Little Change in Construction Starts in P.G.
Prince George, B.C. – The value of all permits issued in the first 8 months of 2017 in Prince George, is down from the same period a year ago, but the number of projects remains about the same.
As of the end of August, there had been permits issued for 328 projects, with a total value of $85.8 million dollars. That compares to 327 projects valued at $96.2 million in the first 8 months of last year.
The number of single family home permits issued during that 8 month period remains unchanged from last year, with 105 single family dwellings, but the value is up significantly.
From January 1st to August 31st last year, the value of the 105 single family permits was $29.19 million. This year, the value has jumped to $42.68 million even though there were the same number of single family starts in the same 8 month period.
