This can be met by: the community energy system initiative and other potential partnerships underway in the City of Prince George.
  • Achieve Canada-wide Standards (CWS) for particulate matter (PM2.5) and ground-level ozone by 2010. This can be met by: the collaborative efforts of the City and its partners in the Prince George Air Improvement Roundtable Society (PGAIR) formerly the Prince George Air Quality Implementation Committee.

The CAEE is a provincial government program administered through the Fraser Basin Council, and is aimed at advancing energy efficiency and reducing greenhouse gas emissions.

Local governments and First Nations have been invited to submit a proposal by the end of July.  The City was successful in securing this type of funding last year.

The CAEE program will provide up to $20,000.

Wow there sure seems to be a heck of a lot of different grants etc out there these days. The gov is handing the green stuff out by the truckload.

Almost makes one think maybe we could be over taxed somewhat.

Hmmm, I have run my pickup on LPG for the past 20 years and I want some of that green cause I'm so earth friendly.

OK I'm holding my breathe........someone...
