Terrace, B.C. - Searchers from
Terrace and Kitimat have been unable to find a 47 year old woman, reported missing on the Kitimat River Monday.
RCMP say the woman was one of several people in a canoe which tipped into the Kitimat River near Nalibila Creek Monday afternoon. The woman was the only one who did not make it to shore.
The search involved Kitimat Hatchery jet boaters, the Terrace Water Rescue Team and the Kitimat Search and Rescue. Despite the extensive search of the river and the shoreline, there has been no sign of the woman.
Her name and hometown have not been released.
