Missing Girl From Burnaby

Prince George, B.C. - Afshan Karimi has been missing since Tuesday, July 22, 2008.

The Burnaby woman was last seen wearing a short-sleeved navy blue shirt with black pants with running shoes carrying a black purse.

Anyone with any information on her whereabouts is asked to contact Burnaby RCMP: 604-294-7922

This article doesn't specify where she went missing? Was she in PG and then disappeared? Or....?

Since when do they classify someone as missing the day after they are last seen.
Lots of questions with this one for sure.
