Prince George, B.C. – When one sings Oh Canada, “true patriot love” is even a representation of our alcohol. According to the 2007 /2008 B.C. Liquor Distribution Branch Annual Report, Canadian made beer and wine top the total gross sales in both categories ibn this province.

Beer made in Canada, Mexico and United States are the top three selling beers in B.C. Canadian beer sales of $889,466 million drown the others as Mexico sales reached $51,394 million and United States sold $37,041 million.
Corona remains the most popular imported beer, followed by Miller Genuine Draft, Heineken, Stella Artois, Becks, Brahma, Guinness, Grolsch and Warsteiner.

In Prince George, this Bud’s for you as Budweiser proves it is the king of beers making the top five..twice! Budweiser 24 pack of cans is the most popular, followed by Corona Extra, Canadian, Coors Light and Budweiser in the bottle.

The second favourite alcoholic drink is wine, with Canadian wine sales reaching $294,028 million. Red wine doubles white wine sales however with brands such as Yellow Tail Shiraz, Jackson Triggs Merlot and Sawmill Creek Merlot topping the charts.

White Wine favourites include Sawmill Creek Barrel Select, Jackson Triggs Sauvignon Blanc, Yellow Tail Chardonnay.

When it comes to the hard stuff, the favourite is vodka, followed by Canadian whiskey, liquers and rum. In terms of brands, British Columbian’s prefer Smirnoff –Red Label, Bacardi White Rum, Crown Royal Canadian Whisky and Wisers Deluxe Canadian Whisky.

Smirnoff Ice, Bacardi Breezer, Mike's Hard Lemonade and Vex Hard Blueberry Raspberry Lemonade are among the favourites in “Refreshment Brands” for Prince George.

I like the local beer or Gibson's with water.

Bud has no flavour, must be made from softwater.
I shared one case of Bud once with a couple of friends and we all got sicker than dogs the next day.I haven't bought one since.
Nothing wrong with Pacific Pilsner, support
your local Brewery, most importend in Beer is the Watersupply

More proof that people here have lousy taste. Bud & Tim Hortons coffee.... retch...
Too dry and fizzy for me!
"...with Canadian wine sales reaching $294,028 million."

294,028 x 1 million equals 294,028,000,000 which is just a tad shy of 300 billion dollars.

That is serious money! Bottoms up to all that success!

Cheers!

Beer? I thought times were tough enough keeping the ol' SUV filled up? I guess there is always money around fer beer. AND you have to pay for it BEFORE you drink it. Nobody whines about that aspect.
As in everything else, we are becoming American. Selling our once owned Canadian outfits to the States. BCR, Hudson's Bay Company, Labbats, Molson, B.C. Ferries, hockey soon gone B.C. Hydro. US might just as well buy us out.
If we do can I then buy my gas at American prices?
