West Fraser's Lejac Mill Hit By Fire

Fraser Lake BC.- Fire Fighters along with Mill personnel are mopping up a blaze early today that destroyed the conveyor belt at the Fraser Lake Sawmill, a division of West Fraser Mills shutting down the operation.

The Mill is located at Lejac near Fraser Lake.

The blaze broke out late Wednesday night and was confined to the conveyor belt.

As of 1.15am Thursday the fire had been brought under control. The total amount of damage, the number of people thrown out of work and other details are not immediately available.

That information is expected to be made available later this morning.
