Lejac Mill In Fraser Lake Back In Operation

A spokesman for the Lejac mill near Fraser Lake says that mill is back in operation today following a fire in the chip belt late last night. Firemen were able to bring the fire under control and the company was back up and running this morning.

The Fraser lake Sawmill is a Division of West Fraser Mills.

Thats great news that the fire didn't spread. that would have been a devastating lose to the region IMO.

Its my opinion that the mills have reduced operating costs by reducing maintenance and clean up and this increases the risks for the whole mill of catastrophic fires. It makes for risky times for everyone.
