Prince George, B.C. - The rain  throughout the Prince George Fire Centre has  helped reduce fire activity and new fire starts  have been minimized.

Lightning caused 22 new fire starts on Saturday, totalling 44 new fire starts since Friday, the majority of which are less than one hectare in size. There are no fires of note at this time.

The Swanson Road fire north of Cluculz Lake has been fully contained. Wildfire fightersextinguished smouldering areas within the fires perimeter, and are now patrolling the fire.

The fire danger rating is decreasing across the fire centre as the rain cools the air andmoistens the forest floor. The Prince George Fire Centre has moved from an extreme and high to moderate fire danger rating.
