Columbus Hotel On Fire

Prince George -A Prince George landmark, the Columbus Hotel at 1250, 3rd Ave is on fire this morning. The extent of the blaze is not yet known as firefighters from several halls try to bring the blaze under control.  

A cloud of smoke is visible from the down town bowl area.

People are asked to stay clear of the scene.

i heard a ton of sirens this morning and wondered what was going on in the bowl. Hope everyone is safe.
The start of downtown revitalization..
oh perfect yet another burnt out building to look at downtown,Put the fire out and give investigators 30 days then bull doze it and clean it up.
I agree snake. I have a business within a block of the Bus and we still have the burnt out building on Quebec. We have to be able to write a bylaw to this regard.
Landmark??? Good heavens, that was a very unsightly building! How pathetic is that, just because something is old, does NOT make it a treasure!
One less seedy place where the rats can't congregate.
u guys disgust me,a dear friend was lost,and not to forget about our friends who are now out of jobs and the others who lived there and are injured, before u judge take a walk in thier shoes...I suggest u watch who u r calling rats...I for one have many memories from that place,it was a place where friendships were made!! Talk aabout judging a book by it's cover...
