Prince George, B.C.- The British Columbia Safety Council is coming to Prince George in one of four B.C. city seminars.

The Council will be hosting the Health & Safety Summit Series  October 21-24th in Prince George and it will include some sessions that are free to the public.

Such sessions include:

  • Top 10 safety tips to keep you and your family safe,
  • Improving safety in your community,
  • Young driver safety,
  • Experiences of an injured young worker,  and
  • Dangers facing  B.C.'s Young Workers.

In addition to the free sessions there will also be special sessions for young people and professional occupational safety sessions for employers and their employees. The goal is to educate and provide practical safety solutions to address safety concerns at home, on the roads, at play and in the workplace.

"We have long realized that accurate safety information, proper education and training are synonymous with managing the risks we face on a day to day basis," said Bryan Lowes, Executive Director of the B.C. Safety Council. "We look forward to working with the communities, to help its citizens, students and their families become more informed and aware of the risks they face."
