The agreement is the result of discussions between Team Northern British Columbia and CFLP in Beijing this past June, and is aimed at strengthening the awareness of trade and logistics opportunities shared by Northern BC and China. CFLP is a nation-wide organization with 200 institutions in its network. The MOU is a strategic agreement for the parties involved and the economic development of the region overall. Mayor Colin Kinsley of Prince George states, “China is, and will become an even more important economic partner for Prince George and Northern BC. This MOU will support expansion of the transportation opportunities that characterize the next wave of growth”.
