OWL FOR MAYOR!!!!!!
I certainly hope one or more people will come forward to give Zurowski a run for his money. You always get a truer picture of the candidate when there's lively competition. And quite frankly...new blood means new ideas & rejuvenation! That's always a good thing in any political race.
It'll come down to a race between Dan Rogers and Zurowski unless somebody else comes into the picture. Neither of these guys strike me as being much different in approach than Kinsley, but we'll see I guess.

Mind you, what was voter turnout in the last municipal election? 30%? If people don't come out to vote, they can't complain!
News Flash;

An undisclosed source has informed us that Owl who appears to be very popular on this site is sequestered and taking a course on political science and election stratagy. He is also improving his skill at speach writing.

We expect that he will return shortly and again bless this site with his eloquent knowledge.

Cheers
owl for mayor was a joke...just like his opinion of PG
Political Science? You mean the study of the strife of interests which masquerades as a contest of principles?
Rogers or Zurowski, Hmmmmm, No decision making or Show boat.

Where's Eugene?

Eugene happens to be with Owl and Zuroski. Sorry missed that bit.
Cheers
One way or the other, I hope the municipal election and important PG issues don't get lost in all the noise that's going to be coming from the feds if Harper call an election next week. Between Harper, Dion and Obama we're going to be electioned-out long before our own turn!
Owl would be a poor choice. He seems 100% in favour of taxing and spending our money. Its almost like he beleives it is the devine right of politicians to waste our money on ill conceived ideas.

Zurowski in a minny me Kinsley.

I suspect that Rodgers has more integrity, and would give due consideration to various projects before blowing our money.
My impression of Dan Rogers is that he'd study an issue until it either a) went away or b) turned into another issue therefore needing further study.
Okay, but there are also many positions on city council, it's not just a race for mayor. Who should we be supporting for the 8 seats?
Thank god for people who actually bother to show up to vote. My wish is that they would make an effort to get beyond name recognition and actually select the 1 or 3 or 6 they REALLY want, instead of picking some names they've heard of because they think they have to pick all 8.

IMO We do have a few good ones and a few who have been total duds and a few who need to RETIRE and one I wish would bathe.

Kudos for being willing to put yourself through it and get your name up there to run, but that doesn't mean you're going to be any good at it.

You get what you vote for. And you don't.
