Tree of Life harvest Starts Today

Prince George, B.C.- The Spirit of the North Healthcare Foundation and Shoppers Drug Mart are launching their “Tree of Life” campaign today.
This is the seventh annual campaign and it goes through to October 10th.
Anyone at a Shoppers Drug Mart can buy a “leaf” for a loonie, a “maple leaf” for $5 dollars, or an “apple” for $50 dollars. 100% of all funds raised will go to the Spirit of the North Healthcare Foundation.
Since 2002 the “Tree of Life" Campaign has raised $9 million for Canadian Health charities.

Too many hands out for the little dough left after rising taxes utilities gas prices and food etc. 80000 registered charities in Ottawa. It's a business folks.
How much of that will go to pay the top brass or how much will really get to where it is supposed to go. If they are as commited as they say they are might they not take a little less of the pie.
Apparently the big shot who heads the United Way sure as heck doesn't "volunteer" his time. I'm talking more than "walking around money".
Right on the money folks, these birds have be hosing the public for a long time. The administration staff have been riding a gravy train for years, The poor soul that needs the money gets peanuts as compared to what they pull in for a salary, To many pigs at the trough. The snow job they give to the public will not fly anymore.
