Prince George, B.C.- The Green Party of Canada has selected its candidate for the Cariboo-Prince George riding, and it isn’t Doug Gook.
Although campaign signs for Gook had sprung up in the Quesnel area, Opinion 250 has learned Party Leader, Elizabeth May would not sign his nomination papers. The reason for not endorsing his candidacy was not clear.
An email  from the Green Party  reads:  "Doug Gook is not a candidate of the Green Party of Canada. He applied to become a candidate for the party, but because of thorough background checks Doug's candidacy was not endorsed."
The Green Party has selected Amber van Drielen as their candidate in the Cariboo Prince George riding.
van Drielen has been a member of the Sierra Club of B.C.
She is up against Bev Collins for the New Democrats, Liberal Drew Adamick, and incumbent Conservative Dick Harris .

I thought Doug Gook was the candidate?

Interesting link. You would think a green candidate would take care of his/her property.
Maybe this is why they dropped him as the candidate?
