September Drier and Warmer than Norm

Prince George, B.C. - The past month was a little warmer and drier than the norm says Einvironment Canad'as Jim Steele.
Here is his full monthly report:
September 2008 The month got off to a cool and unsettled start with afternoon temperatures in the teens and frequent precipitation. Conditions dried out and warmed nicely near mid month with afternoon readings back into the low 20’s and plentiful sunshine. Fall arrived with a bang on the 21st accompanied by a much cooler and unsettled period. The month ended on a sunny and warm note with temperatures back into the low 20’s, likely the last gasp of summer.
In the end, the month was slightly above normal on the temperature front with precipitation a bit sparse, just over half the normal amount.
Temperatures
- Average daily high of 16.8 was slightly above the normal of 16.4 degrees C.
- Average daily low of 4.4 was slightly above the normal of 3.8 degrees C.
- Mean temperature of 10.6 was slightly above the normal 10.1 degrees C.
- Warmest Day on the 15th with a maximum temperature of 23.1 degrees
- Coolest day on the 28th with an overnight minimum of -0.7 degrees
Precipitation
- Total precipitation of 33.2 mm was well below the normal of 52.5 mm.
- Total Rainfall of 33.2 mm was well below the normal of 51.9 mm
- Total Snowfall of 0.0 cm was below the normal of 0.6 cm
- Measurable precipitation on 9 days below the normal of 13 days
- Greatest rainfall one day 11.6 mm on the 25th
