Prince George, B.C.- How would Prince George score when it comes to being a livable, disability friendly, age-friendly, universally designed, inclusive community?.

Today and tomorrow, Measuring Up the North is hosting a workshop on how to increase employment of people with disabilities and older adults.

Since its inception in August of 2007, MUTN has provided local governments, businesses, and others involved in the project with a way to ensure that everyone has the opportunity to participate in the social and economic prosperity of their community. Its expected the  results will  strengthen the economy of the community and enhance social development.

Project Director, Laurie Ringaert, says the workshop will be a kick start to the second year of the project “It brings together Project Liaisons and delegates from over 30 communities to discuss their progress and plans for creating more livable communities for all. The delegates will describe several successes that have already been achieved.”

The workshop is taking place at the Ramada Hotel.

Inclusive? More inclusive?

I don't see how. Everytime I've been told NO by the city, they have included me.

How about less inclusive? Do we have a choice?
Getting garbage pick up and having to pay for it is inclusive. No opting out. No Charter of Rights pertaining to Freedom of Association?
