Roll Over On Highway 97

Prince George, B.C.- A Prince George woman suffered serious but non-life threatening injuries when her GEO tracker went off the road earlier this afternoon. 

RCMP say the woman was heading southbound from Prince George when her vehicle hit the ditch near Naver Creek.   The vehicle vaulted into the air, then  rolled a number of times before coming to rest on the south bound lane.  The woman  was  extracted from the vehicle by Quesnel Highway Rescue Services.

North Cariboo Traffic services are offering praise to  four  employees from Dunkley Lumber  who provided assistance at the scene.

David Novak, Kevin Novak ,Brad Johnson and Jason Poitras attended the scene at the request of the RCMP.   They were able to  provide first aid and traffic control which  kept the highway open and prevented any further injuries.

Wow, thank you to those four employees from Dunkley Lumber who rose to the occasion and helped manage a serious situation. You are appreciated.
All those short wheel base 4x4 RV type vehicles are very tricky to drive. Owners should be required to pass a special driving test before being allowed to drive those vehicles. Those vehicles are the first ones in the ditch when the road conditions deteriorate.
