Another weekend, another drug raid on a city home.

Prince George R.C.M.P. executed a search warrant on a residence believed to be operated by members of the organized crime group, "The Crew" early this morning.

Police believe members of the gang have been dealing crack cocaine from the house in the 21-hundred block of Quince Street.

Five people were arrested during the early morning bust.  Officers confiscated weapons and a quantity of crack cocaine.

One male is facing several charges.

Last weekend, the R.C.M.P.'s Explosive Disposal Unit had to be called out, after a raid on a home in the 500-block of 3rd Avenue turned up a number of hand-made explosives in addition to drugs.

Nice work. Congratulations to the RCMP in their continuing efforts to break the stronghold the drug trade has on this city.

Now, it's up to the Judges to dispense justice. It's time the judges became accountable for their actions or lack of actions.

The injustices we live with are inexcuseable. It really makes me ask who is influencing the judges? It sure isn't the public or the RCMP.

Maybe the judges realize that putting people in jail for what is essentially the same thing as selling alcohol (probably kills more than crack) is kind of stupid.

The sooner we legalize drugs and tax it, the sooner we cut the income for these thugs, reduce gang violence and help people get into treatment.
