Prince George, B.C.-  Another 115  B.C. Hydro customers are without power this hour but this outage is not related to one  earlier in the day  that  put 1500 customers in the dark.

The latest outage  is impacting  residents on Upland,  and is the result of a problem with an underground cable.  There is no word yet on when  that power will be restored.

Earlier today, a vehicle  struck a stabilize  anchor cable on the  north end of the Smon Fraser bridge. That cable whipped and hit the transmission lines shorting out 1500 customers.  The driver of the vehicle was taken to hospital with non life threatening injuries.  B.C. Hydro had that power problem resolved by about 10:30.

B.C. Hydro's Bob Gammer says the  current outage is not  related to the earlier incident  involving the  anchor cable.
