Police Seek Note Book After Scuffle

Prince George -   Police are seeking a police note book containing written details of ongoing police investigations. The note book was dropped by a police officer last night in the gravel pit near Churchill Rd and North Nechako Road as he scuffled with a male youth who was being taken into custody.

Police had been called to the scene were 30 to40 youths had gathered. They were conducting a liquor inspection and also a matter of trespassing.

Police say they are taking the theft of the note book seriously and are asking the person or persons who took it to turn it into police.

Go ask the Georgia Straight newspaper in Vancouver if they know anything about this. I remember. Do you? Or was it before your time?
Harb, you are showing your age. I most certainly do remember the whole Georgia Straight fiasco and police riding their horses through the crowds of people. The then mayor of Vancouver didn't have much sucess banning the Straight. As to the RCMP notebook; wasn't it securly buttoned into his tunic pocket?

If the officer dropped the note book ? how is that theft ?? Isn't it just lost at this point ?
