Prince George-     BC hydro’s Bob Gammer says 590 homes are still without power as BC hydro tries to restore power to the area as quickly as possible following a major wind storm.

"We have one crew that will be working all night" Gammer says, "the other crews can only work 16 hours straight, and then they must take an eight hour break. The crew that is working Wednesday night had an opportunity to get rest early in the day and is now back out in the area."

Further crews from out of town are expected to arrive Thursday to assist in the clean up. BC Hydro says there are still reports of trees blown over on wires "We will try to get to them as quickly as possible" says Gammer.

The power outage in the West Lake area is expected to take until noon Thursday to be repaired.  BC Hydro will update the outages at about 11:30 Wednesday evening.
