Prince George, B.C.- RCMP in Prince George are looking for the driver of a newer model Ford Mustang convertible involved in a short pursuit this afternoon.
Police say they spotted the black Mustang this afternoon and believe it to be the same vehicle they had tried, but failed, to pull over before. The Mustang headed down Quinn, then over to South Kelly where the driver turned the wheel and struck the police cruiser on the passenger side front fender.
The driver of the Mustang got out of the vehicle and headed off on foot towards the CN tracks.  The police dog unit was brought in and tracked the suspect for a while but lost the scent when the suspect headed back up over the embankment into a residential area.
Police say their suspect is in his 30s, has a shaved head, is abut 5’9” or 5’10” and 160 lbs. He was wearing a blue nylon hoodie and the inside of the hoodie is yellow.
Police say the Mustang was not reported stolen and they are looking for the registered owner. If the suspect can be located, he could be facing charges of assault with a deadly weapon (the car) causing a police pursuit and dangerous driving.
