What bugs me to no end is the "OFF WITH PAY" bullchit. The guy who hit the motorcycle even had his kids in the vehicle with him. Left the scene to hide the kids and let the kid on the bike die. OMG!! And the tax payers still pay him?????? My brother got and impaired in Alberta and he LOST his job and they did not pay him!!!
What the hell is this world coming to???? Why are government employees treated better than the people who pay their filthy high wages??? GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR

Filthy high wages shellshadow?
You must be confusing those that work to protect and serve the people with those that sit in highrise office buildings collecting hundreds of thousands of dollars every year plus bonuses for nothing near what most gov employees do for their measley wages.
What exactly do you consider to be a filthy high wage? Do you know what RCMP members earn for putting their lives on the line every day for you and your family?
I'm not defending cops here I just don't understand your statement.
He doesn't deserve off with pay for sure.

Anything and anyone getting paid while on suspension and not doing his/her job is a FILTHY HIGH WAGE.

Hmmmm... "putting their lives on the line every day"...
Makes for nice "Sgt Preston" rhetoric... but does not hold a single drop of water in reality.
By whatever measure you wish to compare, I also put my life on the line every day for my family... so do a lot of others if you think about it.

Sorry rabbitt your comparing apples and oranges. We are talking cops here are we not? Not saying every single cop is putting his/her life on the line everyday for you, but most of them are. You don't need to carry weapons in the performance of your daily work do you.
"but does not hold a single drop of water in reality."
Hmmm.

Anyone got the ba--s to sign up for some auxilary duty? I would like to challenge you. I'm going to suggest you will have a much different attitude after a few weekends riding shotgun. How about walking a mile in their shoes before you open your cake hole?

Of course we appreciate those who put their lives on the line for others but what we are talking about are those who take lives away unnecessarily by means that they cannot properly control or can control but make the choice to abuse it. The ones who make that choice should not be wearing RCMP shoes. That's the difference that so many fail to see. You cannot group them as a whole and expect the country to run smoothly.
More people need to open up their cake holes in order to see more accountability, justice and all those other fun words that most RCMP members live by.
Nobody wants to walk in smelly, mistreated shoes so get rid of those ones. We all want the same thing here really if you sit back and think about it. Criminals come in all shapes and sizes...all colours and ALL PROFESSIONS. Maybe this country needs stronger coffee beans.

Thanks lostfaith. The last four years I've read a lot...A LOT...on the subject. Never a shortage believe me...a new one is around the corner all the time.
I never used to think twice about how crooked some members could be, why should I have? I think that is why it's so easy for them to brush things off is because it's mostly the families of the deceased fighting it. Usually with no witnesses.
You do get a lot of good people who support the families and stand up with their voices turned up but for the majority of people it's just a subject that bothers them while the story is hot then they fade away with the story and that is most likely why the RCMP drag it out so long. ........ 4 years and counting.
