One of the biggest annual events of the holiday season will be held at the Civic Plaza on Wednesday,November 26. The Annual Civic Light Up attracts over 1000 people every year and is hosted by the Prince George Civic Centre, the Prince George Public Library and the Two Rivers Gallery with support from many generous sponsors and hard-working volunteers.

“Without a doubt, this is one of the best family holiday events of the year! It’s hard to believe this is our fifteenth annual.” says Deb van Adrichem, Promotions and Business Development Coordinator, at the Prince George Civic Centre. “Also, I’m excited to announce that we are trying something new with the tree this year. We will be featuring two decorated live trees in the Plaza.  The City of Prince George Parks Department will be installing the 10’ tall potted trees with the intention of transplanting them once they out-grow the pots.”

This is a fun-filled family event starting at 6pm with live music, skating, hayrides, and free hot cocoa served in the Civic Plaza. The countdown for the Light Up (featuring over 3000 lights!) and the arrival of Santa with

candy canes for all takes place at 7pm.
