Prince George, B.C. -   Three First Nation Communities have been effected by power outages today.

230 customers from Fort Babine, Takla Landing and Smithers Landing have experienced loss of power.

Bob Gammer from BC Hydro  is uncertain if the power outage is due to extreme winds,” I suspect there is a tree on a line

which is causing the trouble, but we are expecting to restore power anytime now.”

Gammer also said these are the only outages in the North, Prince George has not been effected.

HMMMMMMMMM, THOUGHT THEY WOULD ALL BE FOR THE IDEA OF LIVING OFF THE GRID. I WAS UNDER THE ASSUMPTION ANYTHING DONE BY THE WHITE MAN WAS BAD.
Your caps lock is on He.

I don't understand why this stories headline needs to read........

"Power Outage In Three First Nation Communities"

When the power goes out where non first nation people live, the headlines don't read...

"power outage in non first nation communities"

I would think....Fort Babine, Takla Landing and Smithers Landing have experienced loss of power, would be a good title.

Lostfaith I agree with you on this one.

Strange headline selection.
Yeah, what's the relevance?
It is more of the same, sustaining an 'us and them' kind of thinking, which is not encouraging peace, love, and brotherhood. How many times have you heard this phrase; 'non native'? Anyway, O-250 reporters should not be encouraging this division between us and them (tee hee)
metalman.
Peace love brotherhood. Ha Ha Ha Gimme a break.
Harb my brother, what is troubling you today? Your comments do seem to be just a wee bit cynical, praise (your deity here)
You will see, if we all pull together we can build a better tomorrow.
metalman.
Lostfaith, you are making a good point.

The headline may have read: "Fort Babine, Takla Landing and Smithers Landing have experienced loss of power."

Well, maybe one day in the not too distant future the First Nation, Non-First Nations, native, non-native etc labels will be history.

One can always hope.
