Prince George, B.C.- It was all about the lights in Prince George tonight as the switch was flipped on three sites.
First, with choirs, treats, coffee and hot chocolate, the Coast Inn of the North welcomed members of the public to attend their light up of the “tree on the roof” . The tree won’t be lit this bright again until all the donations are in for the Salvation Army.

Then it was over to the Civic Centre, where there was skating, and hot chocolate, and music, and hay rides, and Santa, and the 10 second countdown to the lighting of the Civic Square and two potted Christmas trees.
Meantime , up on Connaught Hill it was a preview of the Festival of Lights that will officially start on Friday night.

Wonderful event, kudos to the organizers. People are obviously hungry for these sorts of events judging by the attendance. The Civic Centre courtyard was packed.
