Maybe its because its the Year of the Veteran, or maybe its because  this year marks the 60th anniversary of the end of the 2nd World War, whatever the reasons,  there were record numbers of people in attendance at the Remembrance Day services  at the Civic Centre and at the Cenotaph.

Hundreds of participants and  onlookers stand on the grass surrounding the Cenotaph for  the Remembrance Day  service.
