This is a token test case and nothing more.
That is exactly why Walley Oppal and the B.C. Liberals are making sure someone else takes the heat and nothing sticks to them.
I think the "special prosecutor" will lose this case, and I also think they already know that.
If that were not the case, then why is a "special prosecutor" from outside the B.C.Attorney General's office even being used?
Why contract it out?

It would be interesting to know WHO exactly forced this issue to the point it is today. Was it the church, political parties looking for votes in ridings like the one where Bountiful is located, the FBI, RCMP, CSIS?
Who forced this issue? Who stands to gain from a successful prosecution? Who stands to gain from a failed prosecution?
Speak up!
Gay marriage is ok but having more than one wife is taboo. Pretty strange way of thinking BC Liberals.

That cartoon is in poor taste. It obviously reflects the opinion of the author. I am not condoning polygamy, or even freedom of reigion, but from what we are being fed by the media, those women enter into polygamous marriage of their own free will. I have seen interviews on t.v. and listened to them on the radio, where women have stated that they entered into such a marriage by choice, and really, that is all that matters. The chrch and state have no business in our homes if all involved are consenting adults. STAY OUT! Wally Opal or whoever controls him is on a personal crusade, that is all this is about.

I have no problem with polygamy, if we're talking about consenting adults. What makes these sects reprehensible is forcing children to marry much older men. If God wants you to sexually abuse little girls, you need a new God.
