P.G. Housing Starts Down Last Year

Prince George, B.C.- Canada Mortgage and Housing has released the numbers on housing starts  for 2008, and provincially, new home construction was above the ten year average, but down 10% from the numbers in 2007.
Prince George saw the second largest decline in housing starts in the province with a 34.5% drop in 2008 over 2007. Chilliwack had the largest drop with a 42.4% decline.
