Prince George, B.C.- The cost of mailing a standard sized letter in Canada to a Canadian address is now two cents more than it was yesterday.

Letters to the U.S. will cost another  2 cents putting the price of a U.S. bound stamp to 98 cents, while letters to all other foreign countries climb a nickel to $1.65.

There is some good news, Canada Post has dropped its plan to try and cash in on online shopping by doubling the rate for thick envelopes often used for shipping purchases from ebay and other internet sites.
