Vernon, B.C. –  Another snowmobiler is missing, lost in an avalanche. Vernon RCMP say three snowmobilers were in the Sicamous area today, when two contacted emergency personnel to say their  companion was missing following an avalanche.

Search and Rescue went to the scene to try to locate the missing person. They will try again in the morning if the area is safe to enter.

The name of the missing snowmobiler has not been released.

So far,   avalanches in B.C. have claimed eleven lives this winter season.
