Fire In Chipper At Intercon Pulp

Prince George- There is no estimate of damage in a fire in the chipper building at Intercon Pulp Mill.

21 fire fighters from 4 halls responded to the blaze which started early Friday afternoon in the 2800 Block of PG Pulp Mill Road.

Fire fighters took about two hours to bring the fire under control and mop up.

There were no injuries. An investigation into the cause of the fire is underway.

On January 15th -2008 , a fire destroyed the conveyor at PG pulp causing millions of dollars in damage .

It was shut down for maintenance for the week, so maybe a welder? This could be bad news for local mills if they don't get a bi-pass going like they did at PG last year. When you have 20-truck line ups at the pulp mill the trucks can not keep up with the just in time chips at the saw mill... so do they make less wood chips somewhere... hopefully not?

When Canfor no longer needs a plant, they seem to go up in flames. Insurance to the rescue.

One in which wood prices and demand are falling and Canfor happens to own all kinds of mills with insurance policies that are now worth much more than the value of the mill for the foreseeable future and suddenly Canfor seems to have a firebug in their midst. When a homeowner does it, its arson. When Canfor does it, its an "accident". Happens every day. Connect the dots, its not hard.

Gamblor, scary thing is that you actually believe that rubbish. Happens every day? Like when? Pretty easy to make accusations, another thing to come up with one little clue of it being true. Unbelievable.

Scary thing is that you have no clue. Ask any insurance company how big a problem it is. Any time a fire burns anything down, the insurance company will investigate before you see a cent because of it. However "accidents" still happen. Crawl out from under your rock sometime and see the world for what it is. Crybaby.

Therefore, every fire equals arson. Still can't provide any actual facts though. But if you say it is so it must be.
