Prince George Mayoralty candidate Trent Derrick wants to set the record straight.

Regardless of what some media outlets are saying, Derrick says he has not talked about throwing in the towel and putting his support behind another  candidate in the race  for Mayor.  Derrick has issued this media release:

"There have been recent reports in the media that I, Trent Derrick, made comments about throwing my support behind another one of the candidates in the Prince George Mayoralty race.

Let me make this clear.

I had a confidential meeting with another candidate. Our discussion was to be held in confidence. Any breach of that confidence is extremely disappointing.

The only candidate I have ever made a decision to support in this campaign is….myself.

I do believe that I am still the best candidate in this election.

I have deep respect for those who have supported me throughout this campaign.

I have every intention of following through on my promise to be a voice for those who believe in positive change. "

Derrick tells Opinion250 News  that he  has been, and always will be, loyal to  those who support him and trusts those same supporters will vote for him on Saturday.

I'm behind you Trent. I encourage change when the status quo does not foster any significant change. Chester
Whoever started that rumour is a moron.
rock
Rock!
He admits he had a "confidential" meeting with another candidate, which was to be just that--confidential.
Obviously there was a breach!!!!
So no moron started any rumor--so let us not veer from the truth.
If Kinsley is feeling his position is seriously jeopardized by Rogers, then I do believe he would be seeking support in any area possible.
I surely do hope Rogers makes it on his own strength and beliefs.
He has the knowledge, and the experience.
He is a "family" man, and surely knows the benefits of establishing a secure environment in which to raise and support a family and home.
We need that same secure environment to operate a city and do what is best for the taxpayers.
George Paul and Colin Kinsley seem to be of the opinion the taxpayers pockets are deep, and always ripe for the picking.
Give Rogers the three years to prove himself to be a good choice for mayor!!!
You will be glad you did!!
Kinsley is soooooooooooooooooooooo desperate. Inlisting the help of a guy that doesn't stand a chance, throwing up signs wee willy nilly all over town. Poor little guy, must be tough on him. Oh well looks like too little too late. You sold us down the river Colin and now it is time for you to pack your bags AND BEAT IT BUD!

later............
Nice try on the tuirn-around. But no way. Fairly good sources had it that the meeting was with Kinsley. Besides, Dan is a straight up kind of guy, one you can trust to do things transparently.
Maybe they met to discuss how the cougars are doing.
