Prince George, B.C. - Prince City Council will hear from Tweedsmuir Avenue residents concerned about noise from snow removal at a nearby snow dump.

Darryl and Jodie Zerr say the snow removal operations at Pine Centre Mall keep them up all night and are a disturbance to the entire neighbourhood.

Residents say they're frustrated with a lack of cooperation from those operating the snow dump and by a lack of help from City Hall.

Council will also review an application to transfer the location of a liquor license in the downtown core.

If the application is approved, the Liquor Primary License would be moved from Joe's Place to Shooters Bar and Grill at 611 Brunswick Street.

The move would not change the operations of Shooters and would result in the reduction of liquor primary seats in the downtown core as Shooters would cancel its existing licence.

The Liquor Control and Licensing Branch has final say on the application, but the city's Development and Operations Department has recommended that Council approve the resolution.

Good thing Joes closed down, clean up that area of the city. Also, less bar seats is good for the city.

Isn't the Pine Center snow dump belonging to the mall? Then the city cannot do much with this snow dump. Feel for the residents.
The snow clearing has to be done at night when the lot is empty, what are you going to do? Ask the truckers and loader operators to mute their back up beepers, keep the noisy machines working in less sensitive areas, but on the whole, there is not much that can be done. Consider moving perhaps.
metalman.
I for one would welcome the trucks and ploughs. We rearly see or hear them at work, be thankfull they come around sometimes.
